Heavy-duty flooring clamp's mainly used when laying floorboards in order to keep them pushed tightly up against each other. The clamps prevents any gaps from forming between the floorboards, providing a much better finish. Often referred to as Floor Dogs in the trade, they are usually used in pairs to apply equal pressure along the floor boards. The clamps work by gripping on to the supporting joists and pushing against the edge of a floorboard until it is firmly against the adjacent floorboard, ready to be nailed in place.
